…Oh no. Oh no! I forgot that I hadn’t deleted this entry from my list. And it’s technically not hentai, it’s just like any other ecchi show, so I guess I have no choice but to write about it. Well, no, I do have a choice, but certain people would be very disappointed in me if I skipped this. But believe me, I would like to skip this show, because it’s unbelievably frustrating. As is the manga, which has been going on for 10 years now. And the reason for this is that there is no payoff, no catharsis, no release. It’s like putting on 3 pairs of sweatpants and trying to rub yourself. It’s just not gonna result in anything satisfying (depends on the sweatpants, of course, but you know what I mean).
Kiss x Sis is also one of the ugliest anime I’ve seen. Even considering the fact that it’s somewhat old – the OVA series started in 2008, the TV show aired in 2010 – it just looks awful. Ako’s and Riko’s character designs are reasonably cute, and I like Miharu(for personal reasons), but the show just fails at almost every visual aspect. The character art isn’t sexy at all, the hair colours look unnatural and the backgrounds are, well, I don’t remember the backgrounds. That’s how boring they are. But the worst offender is Keita, the main character. He not only looks bad, worse than almost any other anime character I’ve seen and he’s by far my least favourite generic ecchi/hentai MC in terms of looks. Not only does he look bad, he sounds bad as well. Sorry, Ken Takeuchi, no personal offence, you just sounded kinda awful in this role. I hope it was just a one-time thing.

I’d like to think that I’m known in certain circles on the internet for my occasionally weird taste in lewd anime, with Kiss x Sis being one of those things that I like to pretend that I like so people can laugh at me, or with me, or just generally feel less embarrassed about their own kinks. And I will continue to do that, I like Miharu after all, but let me be serious for a moment: Do not watch Kiss x Sis, unless you make a game out of it. Drinking game, group watch, must-not-fap, whatever. You have to create your own fun when it comes to this show, because as I implied above, it will not give you anything, neither in the visual department nor when it comes to the story. It’s just really bad.
